A safe employer - an ex-apprentice reports

Two and a half years, seven departments – training at cadooz

My name is Kim Peters. I began my apprenticeship in office management in the summer of 2018 and finished the course successfully in January 2021. Today, I work as a Junior Program and Project Manager in the Program Management department at cadooz. I’m 24 years old, I live in Hamburg’s beautiful Alsterdorf district, and I spend a lot of my free time being creative - that includes sewing, drawing, and regularly redecorating my apartment. Besides that, I enjoy meeting friends, going to restaurants, and browsing flea markets.

During the two and a half years of my apprenticeship, I got to know every department at cadooz by spending a few weeks in each of them. I started out in Sales, followed by Inside Sales, Customer Service, Accounting, and Marketing, and I also became familiar with Program & Product Management. This interdisciplinary approach gave me the chance to familiarize myself with internal processes and interdepartmental workflows as well as the wide variety of tasks that each department has to perform. Every time I changed department, I was able to take what I had learned to the next department and make use of it there. I was always warmly welcomed by my colleagues in each department.

I was given the space and opportunity to try out a wide variety of departments and find out where my professional future lies.

Even when I noticed that the focus I’d initially chosen for my training was no longer right for me, cadooz helped me change direction and take a different path.

In addition to completing their daily tasks in each department, all of the apprentices at cadooz are assigned interdisciplinary projects like creating a trainee handbook, planning and assembling health packages for all staff, or planning pizza days for our colleagues. This team spirit still holds us together today.

I can recommend an apprenticeship at cadooz for anyone who is not afraid to take responsibility for their actions, tackle new challenges, and excel themselves.
